What my readers say:
I have read this before and it always gave me joy at the wonders of your mind. Beautifully written just like all of your poetry. Thank you for your continued posting in so many projects and in your own works of art.
I loved your poem. You are my hero for now. I really don't know what to say.
I truly believe in imagination! I made a vow to myself not to lose it while I grew up. Really! So you see how you have affected me?!
Beautiful. Thank you for this wonderful tribute to and celebration of playful imagination.
I was drawn in by the first phrase, and pleasantly rewarded.
Absolutely amazing!
Pretending is all ways the best way to get out and have a look around.
Wow - this one made me smile and remember our childhood game of "let's play like..."
I got to concur with everyone, this poem is a must-read!
This is one of my faves!!!! I have always enjoyed poetry but this takes it to another level. You inspire me to make my writing better.
Remarkable and whimsical write. Well done
This is really great!
I'm in a stage of teenagerhood where everyone is trying to be all mature and stuff and I'm like "pheh! I'm gona be a kid again!"
This was a fantastic poem. I love how you encorage people to stay young and careless... It's something everyone will need even when they're "to mature" (Ha!)
Thank you for writing this poem. It's fantastic.
Wow that's awesome! so imaginative and fun! I love that!
Londis,
I like your imagination and your ability to set it to verse. Great job! I loved it.
Excellent; what a great poem, this has to be one of my favorites
I have had many fantasy lands I’ve been too in my life and I'm only 22 but none of them have been these...I hope to have an imagination like you as I grow...this poem inspired me. Thank you.
To me, the best kinds of poems are the ones that make me remember. You achieved this greatly. Very well written. Thank You!
Lovely! Would make a great children's book-has all the elements!
YES YES YES Done em all. This is a beautiful eulogy to the loss of innocence great lyrical flow Amazing Poem
Loved this one. For me it was a wooden fence and a rope around the fencepost. I’D BE RACING WITH THE WIND ON MY GALLOPING STEED, hanging onto my little cowgirl hat, kicking for more speed with my little boots. I just turned 61 recently; it sure brought me back to that fantasy word!
This is excellent, excellence and its best, if i write something half as good as this I’ll be so pleased with myself. Hope you're proud
Very well done. Lyrical without being silly. A smooth flow that easily carried me to the last word.
A great way to express that growing older doesn't mean that we need to lose our playfulness, because when we do lose that playful side of ourselves then life really can become like a ' watery grave'
I enjoyed reading this so much. I will be looking for more of your writing.
This is one of my favorite poems I have read so far! It brought me back to when I would "just pretend." It was worded great and flowed perfectly. You have a great gift!
Nice. I must say it certainly has a very professional air about it.
Thank you for sharing this amazing piece.
I loved it. it takes me to where I live. thank you.
Very good! Thanks for taking the time to share your work.
I love this poem! You write so beautifully.
Very clever and so much fun to read thank you so much and I look forward to reading more of your work
The best I've read yet. I will look for more of your writing.
Not only do you keep your lyrical flow, but me dancing with my own foolish glow!
Simply dazzling , and very much inspiring, you got spirit.
Very good. Really made me think back to when I pretended to be superhero with my
brother...
The mind and imagination are the greatest transport entities in the universe, a perpetual catalyst that will breach every barrier, explore every wonder, search out every danger, define every dream, and promise every truth. Your prose is well written and resonates with people of any age, even an old over 65 dude like me. Nice work!
simply wonderful.
I cannot express how much joy your words gave me.
Evocative of childhood and lazy-days at their best, this poem would not go unnoticed in a book of children's tales and prose.
A wonderful poem, and true also. The best voyages are the ones taken within our minds, no matter how old the calendar says we are.
Londis I really liked your poem. I think we choose if we want to live in the
Very nice rhythm and imaginative writing. I enjoyed every verse.
Well done.
Nicely written.....
Oh imagination, what a wonderful thing!! I enjoyed this so!!
